The OMEGA system delivers the simplest, most complete DC-DC charger–based dual battery solution available for Wrangler JK owners. It includes a heavy-duty steel battery tray, a fully pre-wired Omega lid, and the REDARC Alpha 25A DC-DC charger, all designed to provide maximum power with minimal installation effort.

How It Works

Engine On:
The alternator charges the cranking battery and runs all factory electronics. The REDARC Alpha charger senses the engine running and begins charging the auxiliary battery with the optimal profile. Green Power Priority™ automatically prioritizes solar input when available to reduce alternator load and increase efficiency.

Engine Off:
All factory circuits continue operating from the cranking battery only.
All aftermarket accessories wired to the auxiliary battery run solely from the auxiliary side—preventing accidental cranking-battery drain.

Easy to Install

The Omega system integrates the wiring, charger, tray, and lid into one streamlined package. Installation requires minimal expertise and typically takes just a few hours. All hardware is included, along with a mounting bracket for the Alpha charger.

Bluetooth Monitoring

Use the REDARC RedVision app suite to configure and monitor your system.

• Setup via the REDARC RedVision Configurator app
• Monitor voltage, temperature, and charging data through the RedVision by REDARC app
• View solar charging input (if equipped)

Start Assist Mode

If the cranking battery is too low to start the engine, the RedVision app can activate Recovery mode. This uses the auxiliary battery to power the Alpha charger for 15 minutes—providing enough charge to restart the engine.

Battery Size Required

The cranking battery must be Group 34 to ensure proper fitment of the factory positive clamp.
For AGM auxiliary batteries, Group 34 is recommended.
Lithium auxiliary batteries must be Group 34 or smaller—but note that current lithium Group 34 options are generally not designed for under-hood temperatures.

Compatibility

Fits 2007–2018 Jeep Wrangler JK with 3.8L or 3.6L engines.
Supports popular engine swaps, including 5.7L & 6.4L Hemi and LS conversions.
Right-hand-drive JK versions are also supported.

Cable Quality

All Omega system cables are made from 8-gauge, high-strand pure copper welding cable for maximum conductivity and flexibility. The abrasion-resistant jacket and pure copper, tin-plated lugs ensure long-term durability. Each terminus is sealed with thick adhesive-lined heat shrink.

Install Time

Typical installation takes 2–3 hours for most DIY users with basic tools.
Shops generally bill around 2 hours for a stock vehicle.
Vehicles with existing aftermarket wiring may require additional time for cleanup or rerouting.
